He had to think of a plan. At first he just couldn't think of anything. He slid into his shiny red seat racking his brain for the slightest idea he could think of, then it came to him. He put on his waterproof space suit and then added some water to a packet of dehydrated beef. He really hoped his idea would work. The beef was put in front of the clear window where the shark could easily see it. Then he went to the hatch and put his hands on the slippery handles to open it. As soon as the shark saw the meat it lunged at the space ship it's great rotten jaws open wide biting open the front of the metal ship. Captain Taniwha quickly pulled himself out of the ship and started to swim away just as the humongous silvery Marco shark crunched down the last of his rocket ship. The great shark started swimming towards captian Taniwha, he gulped and started to back up against the wall of slimy mossy cave wall. The huge grey shark was almost touching him them, kaboom the shark exploded. A pod of once threatened slippery blue Dolphins swam over and thanked him for killing the shark by swimming him up to the beach Captian Taniwha thanked them and walked to a grand hotel where he could stay for the night.
Secondly we had to outline the light bits on the photo. Next we we had to tape our photos onto a polystyrene tray. Then we pushed in the light parts of our faces. The next step was to press the outline in really hard. Then we had to add in the detail. After that we had to try and remove the words. Last of all we had to push in the background.

Tools for printing:

One of the tools we had to use for making the print was an ice cream container lid to put he ink on. 'Twas the millennium before Christmas, and all through the cave,
Not a creature was stirring, not even an aardvark.
The socks were hung by the desk with care,
In hopes that St. Emelia soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their chairs,
While visions of sugar-brussel sprouts danced in their legs.
And frienemy in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the handle to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
ran open the shutters, and walked up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave the luster of mid-seconds to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear?
But an amazing wig, and eight tiny unicorns.

With a little old driver, so lively and wonderful,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Emelia.
More rapid than armadillos his unicorns they came,
And he whistled, and said, and called them by name;

"Now, Dasher! Now, Imogen! Now, T.v and Vixen!
On, Aimee! On Meerkat! On, Sock and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the house!
Now bathe away! Bathe away! Bathe away all!"

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the desk St. Emelia came with a bound.

His eyes -- how they talked! His dimples, how ugly!
His eyes were like slugs, his nostril like a cake!

He spoke not a word but went straight to his work,
And filled all the socks, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his arm,
And giving a nod, up the desk he rose.

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a bang,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good millennium!"

The Uekiolum is a cross between ukulele a drum and a violin.

How it is played.
The Uekiolum is a very low pitched instrument. To get a lower note you have to pluck the outside strings. If you want a higher note you have to pluck the inside strings. If you want to play it like a violin you rub a ruler on the strings and it makes a squeaky sound.

How it works.
When you pluck the strings they vibrate, these vibrations echo inside the box making sound waves that travel to your ears. When the strings hit the box they make a sound like a drum, this happens because the card board vibrates and creates more sound waves.

Conclusion
In conclusion I believe that the Uekiolum is a really easy instrument to play and makes a great sound.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6380497415358745901.post-77250133406900807882014-11-25T13:46:00.002-08:002014-12-02T12:37:38.128-08:00

The Accident

Bang! All you could see was a cloud of blackness. As the black fog stated clearing away you could make out the shapes of two cars and a child until there was a bang of smoke and an oily fire.

I couldn't see anything through the black smoke. My eyes stung with the heat. I could smell the smoke there was so much it was filling my lungs and choking me. I could feel my sisters tight grip. I could hear the distant sound of the fire engine and an ambulance getting closer and closer.

Someone started prising my hand from my sisters tight grasp so I clung on tighter but they eventually managed to get my hand free from hers.

I woke up to find myself in my bed at home. I looked down at the bottom bunk expecting to see my sister but all I saw was a neatly made bed. I called out for my dad but my voice only came out as a croak. I called again but the only sound I could make was a croak, my dad didn't come. Fear gripped me and I started to panic. I looked to see if my sister really was there. I hadn't been imagining it she really wasn't there. Tears started welling up in my eyes. Then I remembered what had happened. I told myself to calm down, but the memory of the accident haunted me like a ghost on the prowl.

Finally my dad did come. I asked "where is my sister."

Dad answered "she is in the hospital." But then he saw the worried look on my face and added "with a broken arm." Once he had said that I relaxed a little and calmed down.

Once dad had left I went back to sleep and dreamed about my sister coming home.

Hiwi the Kiwi Story

Dad told me to "Put on my life jacket."

I replied "What about yours."

He answered "Thanks for reminding me"

Once we were quite a way out to sea dad cast his line. Suddenly he jumped up and exclaimed , "I felt a pull!"

He asked "Can you bring me a bucket of ice?"

I answered "Ok" and bought him some salt as well.

"What's this for?" He asked

I answered "It's a salt water fish so you need salt ice, otherwise it will go off." Dad started reeling in the line. I handed him a wet towel and he picked up the fish. It was enormous. Dad started jumping around yelling out how happy he was. He jumped so hard he made the boat rock. He told me it was the biggest fish he had ever caught.

I whispered " Dad put it back under my breath."

"What was that" he asked

Again I said "Dad put it back," a little more loudly this time

He just stared at me then said "What, why on earth would I put it back?"

"Because it is a mother fish and if you don't catch it there will be more fish in the sea once it has had it's baby's.

Dad replied "Okay" and gently lowered it back into the sea.

When we got back to the shore we took our life jackets off and unloaded the fish. We had three 30cm fish.

Dad said " thank you you taught me an awful lot today."

"Thank you for taking me with you" I replied.

He answered "I should take you with me with more often."

I played the ukulele.

We walked up the stairs on the left side of the stage.
