From on the surface, the pond looked shallow. I jumped into the pond to have a little swim. But once I was in, I realised it was very deep. I struggled to get out but I just couldn't . The algae was sucking at my feet pulling me down,down,down. I gripped the surface with my hands. I ripped into the flesh of the earth with my nails.
