From on the surface, the pond looked shallow. I jumped into the pond to have a little swim. But once I was in, I realised it was very deep. I struggled to get out but I just couldn't . The algae was sucking at my feet pulling me down,down,down. I gripped the surface with my hands. I ripped into the flesh of the earth with my nails. I pushed my hands down and flicked the gooey Algae off my feet. I pulled my body up panting. But suddenly something pulled my head back into the gooey pond...

100 word challenge
I walked into the back yard. My hair stood on end. Right infront of me stood a 5 foot tall cup eating my friends.Their legs were in the air.I had to save them.I didn't know what to do though. I knew if I went up to it it would eat me up so that was out of the question. Suddenly an idea popped into my head. I got a rope and tied a loop at the end and twirled it around my head. I threw it round my friends legs and pulled I had saved my friends.

100 word challenge
The naughty little boy ran away from home to catch a fish. He sat down on a log. He cast his line out a long way. Suddenly his line started tugging and bending. He reeled it in. On the end of his line he found a gumboot. He got really angry and started jumping about. He went home. The next day he went back to the pond. He sat down and cast his line. He only had to wait 10 seconds before there was a tug and a pull. He reeled in his line. He screamed there was an ugly pink worm!!
Cultural festival
Tonight's the night. It's Wednesday the 28th August. I went into room 8 and got some lipstick and feathers. Then I went into the hall. Once every body was there we went to get on the bus that would take us to the cultural festival. Kayla and I got to sit together on the bus. The ride was very bumpy but we finally got there. We were the first school performing on stage at the Cultural festival. When we got there we had to take any extra clothes off. We had to go backstage, it was really scary. There were at least 1000 people there, it was very noisy. Then the mc started talking and the audience went quiet. We started walking up stairs. When we got up the stairs and on stage we could see every body for a minute then the bright lights turned on. Our first song was toia Mai that is the name of our first Haka too. Our next Haka was called standing in the shadow of tu. Our next song was called mate kurukura. Our final song was called e to hokuwhetu. Standing at the very front of the stage s very scary I know that because I'm in the second row of girls and the Second row of girls had to stand at the front of the stage for e to hokuwhetu. When we finally got to walk of stage away from the wild clapping we got to put our extra clothes back on. When we were back in our extra clothes we got a water bottle each. We watched all the other schools preform. When all the other schools had preformed we got to go back home. The next day I was very tired.

Sugar crystal
This is my sugar crystal. To make it we put in a pot 3cups of sugar and some water we took it out when it boiled and put it in a jar with food colouring. It is going well and getting very big.
